Opening Scene...
Acts 2:43-45: everyone around was in awe—all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! and all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. they sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person’s need was met.
Acts chapter 2 is the single most transformative message of Christ. In this scripture we see this gift in action, changing peoples lives to such a point that their response was to love each other and share every resource which they had. Simple, powerful, life-changing; exactly what the gospel of Jesus is: period - beginning of story.
It was the simplicity of the gospel which powers our journey to create a place where people can walk in their purpose and experiencing the best relationships possible.
In the fall of 2005, Pastors Nate, Tiffany, and their two boys - Justin and Josh, started a journey that would forever change their lives as we began serving as student pastors of a small church in Jennings, Louisiana. They watched as God took 12 students and turned into a ministry which was serving over 100 students weekly, including 17 volunteer staff members, and 4 different school-based clubs.

Chasing a Lion...
2 Samuel 23:20: Benaiah son of Jehoiada from Kabzeel was a vigorous man who accomplished a great deal. He once killed two lion cubs in Moab. Another time, on a snowy day, he climbed down into a pit and killed a lion.
In the summer of 2013, the LeJeune family packed u-haul, and a load of nervous energy, to begin their god-journey to New Orleans. It would be the first and most important decision that they would make for the next chapter in their lives - the willingness to say 'YES".
Home Church's foundations are rooted in the God-principles learned through life-experiences; which are the power relationships play in our physical, spiritual, and mental health, and the real, simple ways that Christ love is to be experienced and exampled to everyone around us.

Where we are headed...
The mission of Home Church is to place the church back into the neighborhood. To create a place that supports people to experience engaging their relationship with God daily, healing and health for the mind, body and soul, and empowerment by the Holy Spirit to walk in their purpose. We envision a place where people connect over a meal, create an atmosphere of worship together, and enjoy doing life with each other in a tangible way. We strive to live out Acts 2 with the sharing of resources, and engaging community of love that is so inspiring that others will want to be apart of what they see.
The number 1 identifier that Christ gave the church was their love for one another. Home Church will be a place where we love robustly by walking along side each person to hear what God is saying for their lives, and serve them by placing our resources to support that purpose.

Core Beliefs
God
One God (Spirit) who was embodied in three aspects of that one God; as the Father (the divine nature of God), the Son (the human form of Jesus which is the Character of God who took on humanity), and the Holy Spirit (the actionable power and of God). [1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 40:28; Psalms 89:26; 1 John 3:1; John 14:26; Genesis 1:2; Romans 8:11]
Salvation
Salvation exists to put us back in alignment with the original relationship with God, and out of that relationship will come our service to humanity. Salvation is not a one time experience but a daily conviction to experiencing God in every aspect of our lives. Salvation is experienced with a verbal declaration that Jesus Christ becomes the Lord of my life, therefor forfeiting self-governance by becoming fully dependent upon God’s governance. [Genesis 2; Acts 2; Acts 2:38; Act 16:30-33; Ephesians 2:8-9].
Fulfillment of Salvation
The fulfillment of salvation for our lives is derived from:
- Practicing faith that Jesus died, was buried, and resurrected. [Galatians 2:20; Acts 2:29-30]
- Practicing action through baptism in Jesus Christ name, and the filling of the Holy Spirit. [Acts 2:38; Acts 16:33; Acts 22:16; Galatians 3:27; Acts 2:38, Acts 10:44-46]
- Practicing service to others through our gifts and talents. [John 13:1-17, 1 Peter 4:9-11, Colossians 3:23-24, Mark 10:45, Matthew 20:26-28, Philippians 1:19-26]
Christian-Responsibilities
As Born-Again Christians we have a responsibility to:
• Responsibility to do what did he said: "heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons."
• Responsibility to do what he did through action: social justice, care of the planet, equality, empowering, setting free those bound
• Living a spiritual, mental, and physical healthy life
Ref: [Matthew 10:8; Matthew 22:34-40; John 13:34-35]
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, created to serve people, care for the planet, and keep things in order; therefore proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Mission
We will create connections with people from all walks of life, support in leaning into their spiritual walk with God to hear what He is saying for their lives, and support them to achieve an abundant life that is overflowing to those around them.
The Vision
A community-based, home-based, fellowship of engaged people who are physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy, and who use their resources to care for their local community.
